SPDES is a comprehensive multiphase driver education curriculum for novice drivers. Course content includes instructional videos and guides for teaching both classroom and in-vehicle on road lessons. Video based student self-study lessons are a vital part of Safe Performance Driver Education Curriculum.

Video presentations are used extensively to develop the driver's crash avoidance driving knowledge and skills. Special attention is given to the significance of alcohol, drugs, behavior and distractions as primary causes of motor vehicle crashes.

The Safe Performance Driver Education System fully satisfies the 30/6 instructional curriculum required by most insurance companies to determine novice driver insurance discounts.

SPDES is leased to selected public and private driver education schools which subsequently conduct state approved driver education programs at the community level.
